My name is Tobias Wadenka and I've been holding a badminton racket for as long as I can remember.


I started at five years old, fell in love with the game early, and gave everything I had to become a professional. I made it pretty far, but in the end, I didn’t quite reach the very top of the world rankings. That left me with one burning question: What could I have done differently?

That question turned into a mission. As a full-time coach for the past 15 years, working with beginners, kids, national-level juniors, and aspiring pros at one of Germany’s elite junior centers as well as coaches, I’ve made it my job to find the most efficient, effective ways to teach badminton — especially the hardest part: great footwork.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned? Good badminton players don’t just train hard — they build a strong foundation early. They move efficiently, save energy, and avoid picking up bad habits they later need to unlearn. Most players never get that strong foundation if they don't have high quality coaching right from the beginning — now, as a coach, I want to help others build it from the start or rebuild it the right way.

And here's the truth that might surprise you:

What skill level is this program for?

The course is suitable for beginners through advanced players. No specific knowledge or skills are needed as every exercise is scalable and includes adaptations.

Will this course also help me for doubles?

Good footwork works in every categorie and especially when it comes to the basic movement patterns there is no difference between good footwork in doubles , mixed doubles and singles.

Can't I learn all of this on Youtube?

You can find a lot of footwork content on YouTube (in fact, I have many free workouts out there). But here’s the difference: This course gives you a step-by-step system that builds real results week after week — no guesswork, no confusion, no wasting time jumping between random videos. You’ll know exactly what to do, how to do it, and why it works. Plus, you get structured progression, key principles explained clearly, and support if you get stuck. You won’t find that just browsing YouTube.

Do I need to have XYZ before starting?

You don’t need a partner, court, or fancy gear. All workouts can be done at home on an even floor, so you just need a little space to move, badminton shoes with good grip, and the desire to improve.
